Do the boats have depth finders?
- Although all the boats have depth finders we cannot guarantee that they are all fully operational all the time.
Do your boats have GPS or navigation systems?
- Although all the boats have Garmin NAV systems we cannot guarantee that they are all fully operational all the time.
Can I get a refund if the weather is bad while out on the water?
- A full refund is available up until 24 hours prior to your rental start time: after such time we can provide “booking credits” to use at a later date!
Do I need boating experience/boating license?
- While a boating license is not required, boating experience is a must. If not, we can provide one of our first-class captains.
Where should I park?
- When parking at our Island Harbor Marina location please park near the Pinellas trail/ grassy area outside the marina. Carpooling is highly suggested.
If I come back early, do I get a discount?
- We unfortunately cannot give a discount for an early return. The boat is still booked for those hours, meaning someone else who could rent it wouldn’t be able to.
How do you determine fuel cost?
- Our entire fleet of boats are always kept at a full tank of gas and returned to full after your rental is complete, this ensures an accurate fuel cost for each guest!
What types of boats do you offer?
- Marker26 offers top-of-the-line Center consoles as well as pontoon and tri-tune boats.
Where are you located, and what are your operating hours?
- Marker26 is open seven days a week from 7am-7pm. Our main location is Island Harbor Marina, 123 Orange Street N, Palm Harbor FL 34683.
Do you offer captain or crew services?
- Yes! We have world-renowned captains on call! For special parties and events, please email us at marker26br@gmail.com
How much does it cost to rent a boat?
- Our rentals vary from boat to boat, starting as low as 60 an hour but the longer the booking the bigger the discount!
What forms of payment do you accept?
- We accept all major forms of payment.
Is a deposit required?
- Yes! A deposit is required, just like a hotel! It is a hold that will be returned to you within two days after the rental.
Are there any extra fees?
- Unfortunately, if a boat gets stuck out on the water we have a $300 headache fee.
- Late fee is charged on a pro-rated hourly basis
- Pet fee of $15 per animal
\What is your cancellation policy?
- Cancel for free any time prior to the 24 hours before your booking!
Is safety equipment included with the rental?
- All Marker26 boats have been inspected and outfitted with all Coast Guard-approved safety equipment.
Are life jackets provided (including for kids)?
- Yes! All life jackets are stowed on each boat for adults! Kids 6 and under or 90lbs or less must grab one from the coat rack next to the office.
What should I do in case of an emergency on the water?
- Please call Marker26 staff immediately for any emergencies.
What should I do if I come back early?
- Please call your Marker26 Dock Master so they can be there to accommodate you when you return. Our staff is not always out on the docks so its important to let them know ahead of time when you plan on returning.
Can I bring food and drinks on board?
- Yes! Food and drinks are welcome. We must mention the driver cannot drink alcohol at any time. Feel free to book one our captains as your designated driver so everyone can enjoy the day.
Are pets allowed on the boat?
- Yes! Pets are more than welcome! (Just please don’t bring any wildlife back with you)
Is fishing allowed?
- Yes! Fishing is allowed on all our boats, it is up to the guest to make sure they are in compliance with any state laws and regulations.
Are there any age restrictions for passengers or drivers?
- Drivers must be 25 or older to drive a boat. Feel free to book one of our captains if you do not meet the age requirement. Passengers of any age are welcome.
Do I need to clean the boat before returning it?
- No! our staff will clean the boat for you. Please just gather all your belongings prior to arriving back at the dock.
What if I return the boat late?
- A late fee is charged on a pro-rated hourly basis.
What happens if there is damage to the boat?
- If any damage occurs to the boats, the security deposit will be used as collateral. If the damage cost surpasses the security deposit, our renter’s insurance will cover up to $1,000.00 in damages. Any amount past that will be subject to out-of-pocket payment.
